Wirth Park
Brookfield, WI
Jaycee Playground at Wirth Park features a beautiful, inclusive playspace located in the city of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Designed for children of all abilities to play, socialize, learn and grow together, Wirth Park is the first of its kind in Brookfield and an important addition to the community. It takes a village to bring the best in play to communities and local community members worked closely with our team, the parks and recreation department, local government and donors to make their inclusive playspace a reality.
The playground features something to engage everyone – from adventures on the Level X® Extreme and Nucleus Evolution® towers and slides to flying through the air on the Cirrus® Swing, kids will experience excitement and awe while they play. Bringing independence in play are the 360 Loop® and Brava® Universal Swing. The 360 Loop offers more kids the opportunity to be in the “Circle of Play” – transfer, climb, slide – and do it on their terms while developing important skills like resilience and confidence. Brava Universal Swing focuses on the “can” and is swinging in a whole new way. Children can transfer independently into the swing and use it in whatever way works for their bodies – hands, core or legs. The rocking motion is soothing for all children but especially beneficial for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other sensory processing differences.
Wirth Park is a gift to everyone in the community and an example of what we can accomplish when we all work together toward a common goal.
